Meet Dr. Bashawaty
Wally Bashawaty, DDS, is a talented and artistic cosmetic
dentist at South Coast Dental in Newport Beach, California. Dr.
Bashawaty takes a holistic approach to each patient’s treatment
and puts their needs and preferences first. He encourages open
and honest communication between himself and each patient,
teaching them about their oral health and about the treatments
that they need.
Dr. Bashawaty attended the University of California in Irvine
for his undergraduate education. Following his graduation, he
attended the University of Southern California School of
Dentistry in Los Angeles. There, his talent was recognized, and
he received the Paul K. Hill Memorial Award for outstanding
achievement in the four-year dental program. He graduated with
his dental degree in 1998, before completing the dental implant
program at the University of California, Los Angeles.
In July of 2000, Dr. Bashawaty realized his dreams when he
opened South Coast Dental. Since opening the doors, he has
remained in constant pursuit of new technologies and modes of
treatment to offer his patients. He constantly attends
educational programs to expand his own expertise in all areas of
dentistry and is certified to provide Invisalign® orthodontic
treatment as well as dental implants.
Meet Dr. Khamis
Dr. Khamis is a native to the area. She grew up in Fountain Valley and received her dental degree from University of Southern California in 2013. She has been at the practice since 2017 and is looking forward to growing with Dr. Bashawaty and his staff. Dr. Khamis is apart of a large family and keeps herself busy with them. She enjoys spending time with her family, outdoor activities, events, traveling and hanging out with her friends. She takes a holistic approach to the dental care she provides for her patients . She takes pride in building trusting relationships with her patient and looks forward to providing exceptional care for all our patients. Dr. Khamis knows that creating a good dental experience is possible, which she promotes through her own belief in creating a peaceful, loving environment. Her goal is for the patient to experience a positive, joyful feeling during a visit or procedure. Dr. Khamis is constantly growing and learning alongside with South Coast Dental's talented providers!
Meet Dr.Ravon
For many clinicians and their patients, dental implants are quickly becoming the preferred treatment of choice for tooth replacement in addition to periodontal care for preventing or treating periodontal disease. For this reason, we welcomed Dr. Ravon to our practice in January of 2007 and we are so glad to have someone with his knowledge and experience take part in our growing practice.
Dr. Ravon received his dental degree from the University of Southern California in 1997. He then earned a certificate in Periodontics and a Master of Science in Dentistry at the University of Washington in 2002.
Dr. Ravon was formerly a clinical instructor at the University of Southern California. He has published several articles in refereed journals. He is also a Diplomat of the American Board of Periodontology, a member of the American Academy of Periodontology, a member of the Academy of Osseointegration, and previously, a president of the Glendale Academy of Dentists.
