Dr. Wally Bashawaty, BBC, is our founder and lead dentist at South Coast Dental. Besides the numerous accolades and achievements Wally has earned over his career, he prides himself most on being a personable and enthusiastic dentist. Dr. Bashawaty takes a holistic approach to each patient’s treatment, always putting their needs and preferences first. He encourages open and honest communication between himself and each patient, and emphasizes the importance of educating patients about their oral health and the ways they can keep their mouth in the best shape it can be.

After completing his undergrad at UC Irvine, Wally continued his education at the University Of Southern California School Of Dentistry in 1998, where he received the Paul K. Hill Award for Outstanding Achievement in a four year dental program. He furthered his education at UCLA where he completed the Dental Implant Program. In July of 2000, Dr. Wally established South Coast Dental in Newport Beach and in 2009 he founded Brighton Dental Clinique in Beverly Hills alongside his business partner Dr. Ravon.

A native to the area, Dr. Khamis grew up in Fountain Valley and received her dental degree from the University of Southern California in 2013. She has been at the practice since 2017, and is looking forward to growing with Dr. Bashawaty and his staff. Dr. Khamis takes pride in building trusting relationships with her patients, and is always looking forward to providing them with exceptional care. She strives to create a peaceful, loving environment for her patients, colleagues and of course, herself.

Dr. Khamis is a part of a large family, which often keeps her very busy. She enjoys spending time with her family, outdoor activities, events, traveling and hanging out with her friends. Dr. Khamis is constantly growing and learning alongside South Coast Dental's talented providers!

For many clinicians and their patients, dental implants are quickly becoming the preferred treatment of choice for tooth replacement in addition to periodontal care for preventing or treating periodontal disease. For this reason, we welcomed an expert in the field, Dr. Ravon, to our office in January of 2007. South Coast is so glad to have someone with his knowledge and experience take part in our growing practice.

Dr. Ravon received his dental degree from the University of Southern California in 1997. He then earned a certificate in Periodontics and a Master of Science in Dentistry at the University of Washington in 2002. Dr. Ravon was formerly a clinical instructor at the University of Southern California, and has published several articles in refereed journals. Additionally, he is also a Diplomat of the American Board of Periodontology, a member of the American Academy of Periodontology, a member of the Academy of Osseointegration, and previously a president of the Glendale Academy of Dentists.
